Project Summary: Full planning permission and construction phase for a complicated rear single storey extension to an end of terrace dwelling, to create a larger kitchen, dining area, as well as a utility room and downstairs shower room.

Status: Planning permission granted  May 2018 / Completed January 2019

Design: The single storey extension acts as a retaining wall on two sides and is constructed with white painted render on blockwork to match the existing building envelope. As the roof is accessible and visible from the first level of the rear garden the design intention was to create a form which blends in with the landscape. This was achieved through integrating a modular green sedum roof system which matures throughout the year.
